Every editor can relate [humor]

"Miss I Don't Know How To View A Rough Cut Lady"
Someone shared this very funny song with me and I know every editor can relate. It's done in the style of Budweiser's "Real American Genius" radio spots. Its a dead-on parody, with high production values and voice over talent that sounds an awful lot like the guy from the actual ads. It makes me wonder if it was created as an inside joke and it leaked out. If anyone knows who I should credit for this gem, please let me know. In the meantime. . . enjoy. . .

...love that little dog in the sky [opinion]

So, in October 2005, I got Sirius. I love it. I have one unit that I use both in the car and in the house. And the FM transmitter works great both in the car as well as broadcasting to all the radios in my home. There's a ton of great music and entertainment (120 or more channels actually). There's Blues, Classic Rock-n-Roll, Alternative, CNN News, NPR, old radio shows like The Jack Benny Show, and of course Howard Stern and Howard Stern News on the channels named for him, Howard-100 and Howard-101. I barely listen to regular radio now.

I also find it very interesting that now that Stern is on satellite radio, the government wants to impose restrictions on its content. If they accomplish this, what will become of pay-cablers like HBO, Cinemax and Showtime? Will their content be censored too? This is content that is "invited" into the home or car. No one is going to stumble upon it. In addition, all of these pay content services also allow for stations to be restricted or locked-out by the owner, so with a small setting a user can avoid undesired content for themselves or their children. And lastly, I think content restrictions currently being considered by some in Congress and the FCC would require an amendment to the Constitution. Protect your freedoms, folks.

Mmm, mmm, good [opinion]

My latest vice is Very Cherry Soy Cream from
Double Rainbow. Its packed with a ton of dark cherries and non-dairy chocolate chunks all mixed into creamy cherry flavored soy cream. I found it at a store called Trader Joe's in California. Healthy, lowfat, and gooood....
