NOTE:
Starting in version 5.5, the Avid Media Access (AMA) plug-ins are not installed when you install the software. They have to be added manually (except for the QuickTime plug-in). You can find them here: http://www.avid.com/US/products/Avid-Media-Access/plug-ins (opens in new window). Avid states: "Starting with Media Composer 5.5, Symphony 5.5, and NewsCutter 9.5, you will need to install any AMA plug-ins you want in addition to your software (AMA plug-ins are no longer included in the installer except for the QuickTime plug-in). This enables Avid and third-party camera manufacturers to update plug-ins outside of a software release."
